Ranging in date from circa 1985 to 2000, the Melinda E. Pittman photographs collection consists of 108 black-and-white prints, 42 color prints, 18 dye diffusion transfer prints (Polaroids), ten black-and-white negatives, and 8 color negatives. The bulk of the collection consists of publicity portraits of Melinda Pittman, an Oregon-based music theater performer; Pittman is photographed alone and with unidentified members of the casts of several of her music comedy shows, including the Angels--the Next Generation, Summer Angels--Some are Not, and The Fallen Angel Choir. Some of the publicity images were photographed by Portland photographer Owen Chase. The collection is unprocessed.

Melinda E. Pittman received her education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Tulane University, before launching an active career in Portland, Oregon.
